Description

The show is divided into seven acts: Splendor of Luoyang——Ode to the Luo River Goddess——Carp Leaping Over Dragon Gate——Harmony of Heluo——Preface to Bai Garden Poems——Unparalleled Luoyang Embroidery——Fish Leaping to Become a Dragon (subject to the order of live performances) Dragon Gate Banquet is an immersive cultural tourism performance project launched by Luoyang Longmen Ancient Street. With the theme of "Carp Leaping Over Dragon Gate", it combines traditional imperial banquets, Tang Dynasty music and dance, intangible cultural heritage cuisine, and modern stage technology to create a "dining and performance integration" trans-temporal cultural feast. Tourists can wear Tang costumes and immerse themselves in ancient-style scenes, enjoying delicious food while watching performances, and deeply experience the customs of the Tang Dynasty The first act of "Splendor of Luoyang" mainly describes the grand scene of Wu Zetian's banquet for guests. Wu Zetian entertains royal relatives, nobles, and people from all over the world, sharing the prosperity of the city. On the streets, there are not only rich people and dignitaries, but also ordinary people. Two main characters, Cao Zhi and the Luo River Goddess, appear in the city. It is said that 500 years of looking back can only be exchanged for a shallow smile in this life. After the two meet on the street, they admire each other, and Cao Zhi gives the Luo River Goddess a candied haws. The fate of the two begins here, entering the second act "Ode to the Luo River Goddess" In 222 AD, after Cao Zhi entered the capital Luoyang to meet the emperor, he stopped at the Luo River on his way back to his fiefdom, Juancheng, and wrote the famous "Ode to the Luo River Goddess". The ode depicts the scene when he met the Luo River Goddess, Mi Fei. The beautiful Luo River Goddess made him fall in love at first sight, but because of the different paths of humans and gods, he could only look at the disappearing figure of the Luo River Goddess with melancholy. In this act, Cao Zhi and the Luo River Goddess meet alone, but unfortunately, fate makes it impossible for them to stay together "Carp Leaping Over Dragon Gate" This act serves as a second spatial image, bringing the audience into the tragic love story of the Luo River Goddess and Cao Zhi in an abstract way. The singing performance "Peach Blossom Promise" and the aerial hoop performance are accompanied by snowflakes falling, symbolizing sharing the snow but not growing old together, in order to set off the sadness of Cao Zhi and Luo River Goddess's love "Harmony of Heluo" In this act, the actors use superb skills to perform a real Guzheng playing. Every note is full of deep emotion and power, accurately conveying the charm of the music. At the same time, the gauze screen holographic projection technology is cleverly used to create a visual feast that transcends reality "Preface to Bai Garden Poems" This act completes Bai Juyi's change in mentality from being demoted to Jiangzhou Sima to spending his old age peacefully in Luoyang. From the frustration of the "琵琶行 Pipa Xing" period to the contentment of climbing the building to view the scenery in his later years "Unparalleled Luoyang Embroidery" Twelve girls, symbolizing the twelve months respectively, hold flowers representing each month and wear Luoyang embroidered Tang Dynasty costumes. As the girls dance, they seem to travel through thousands of years, reproducing the beauty of the Tang Dynasty
