Мутяньюй — участок Великой стены к северу от Пекина, известный прежде всего густыми лесами и плотной сетью сторожевых башен. Стена здесь петляет по горным хребтам, чередуя прямые участки и плавные изгибы — ландшафт создаёт ощущение объёмного пространства. Особенность Мутяньюй — необычная конструкция главного прохода: три сторожевые башни, стоящие на одной платформе. Зубцы здесь предусмотрены с обеих сторон стены — редкость для Великой стены. Для подъёма наверх работает фуникулёр; для спуска при желании можно воспользоваться тобогганом. Вход по QR-коду — без очередей у кассы.
