Дворец Бейлербейи расположен в одноимённом квартале района Юскюдар на азиатском берегу Босфора — к северу от первого Босфорского моста. Он был возведён в 1861–1865 годах как летняя резиденция Османской империи. Архитектором выступил Саркис Балян, работавший в стиле Второй империи. По сравнению с более ранними дворцами — Долмабахче и Кючюксу — Бейлербейи выглядит более сдержанно. Дворец вошёл в историю как последнее место жительства султана Абдулхамида II, находившегося под домашним арестом вплоть до своей смерти в 1918 году.
