Театр водных кукол Golden Dragon расположен в парке Тао Дан в Хошимине. Искусство водных кукол зародилось на рисовых полях дельты Красной реки на севере Вьетнама и сегодня остаётся одним из самых популярных культурных зрелищ страны. Представления проходят ежевечерне и нередко распродаются заранее — зрительных мест немного. На сцене оживают персонажи народных сказаний: драконы, феи и другие образы из вьетнамского фольклора движутся прямо по воде. Спектакль ведётся на вьетнамском языке, однако выразительные движения кукол и живая музыка понятны без перевода. Оркестр располагается сбоку от сцены и исполняет традиционную музыку на барабанах, деревянных колокольчиках, рожках, бамбуковых флейтах и тарелках. В программе — народные сказки, легенды и сюжеты о значимых событиях вьетнамского календаря, поданные с лёгким юмором. При входе зрителей встречают артисты в традиционных шёлковых костюмах.
