Next up is the picturesque town of Chinon, with its preserved medieval half-timbered houses, Renaissance town houses, and castle, once the residence of Henry II of England. Your guide will walk you through the town's history. You will also have time to explore the town on your own, shop, and try some of the local specialties for lunch.
