From Rome: Pompeii with Archaeologist & Lunch in Sorrento

Description

See Pompeii with a certified archaeologist, enjoy an authentic Italian lunch in Sorrento, and travel from Rome in comfort. This 12-hour small-group trip is fully planned, so you don't have to worry about a thing. Your day begins with a smooth ride from Rome in a comfortable minivan. When you arrive in Pompeii, start with a typical Italian breakfast of croissants and coffee before stepping back nearly 2,000 years in time. Your expert archaeologist will guide you through this ancient city's highlights, such as vibrant taverns, luxurious villas, the Roman Forum, bathhouses, and haunting plaster casts of those caught in the eruption. It's powerful, fascinating, and unforgettable. Then, head down the coast to Sorrento, where cliffs meet the sea and the atmosphere slows to a coastal rhythm. Sit down to a full Italian lunch and enjoy the view, the flavors, and the breeze. Before returning to Rome, enjoy a short scenic break and one last photo opportunity. From transport and tickets to meals and experiences, everything is taken care of. And who knows, there might even be a little surprise treat waiting along the way.
