Канатная дорога Хаконэ — один из самых впечатляющих способов осмотреть этот горный район. На участке от Соундзан до Овакудани под кабинами раскрывается глубокая долина; дальше, в направлении Тогэндай, в ясную погоду открываются виды на гору Фудзи и озеро Аси. Овакудани — бывшая вулканическая «долина ада» — встречает облаками сернистого пара и лунным рельефом.
