Kitakyushu One-Day Tour: Karato Market / Mojiko & Motonosumi Shrine & Sarakurayama Cable Car (Departing from Fukuoka)

Description

Motonosumi Shrine Visiting Hours Explanation: From March 1st, the main hall of the shrine will be closed for worship on Saturdays, Sundays, Japanese national holidays, and during the periods of May 2nd-10th and August 8th-16th; the red torii gate area along the coast can be visited as usual. This is a one-day itinerary that combines "sea views + gourmet food + shrines + night views," starting from Hakata. It allows you to easily visit popular attractions in Yamaguchi and Northern Kyushu, with a dedicated car for the entire round trip, eliminating the need for self-transfer and making the journey more worry-free. In the morning, you'll pass by the Kanmon Bridge for a car tour. The bridge view spanning the strait, coupled with passing ships, creates a vast and open scene. Afterward, you'll arrive at Karato Market for free activity, where various fresh seafood and sushi are gathered. You can browse and eat, choosing freely according to your preferences, making it an easy and engaging stop in the day's itinerary. In the afternoon, head to Motonosumi Shrine. The red torii gates, arranged along the coast, extend all the way to the cliff edge, creating a strong visual impact. It offers both great photo opportunities and sea viewing experiences, with ample time to walk slowly and take it all in. In the evening, return to Northern Kyushu, ascend Mount Sarakura, and take the cable car up the mountain. From dusk until nightfall, witness the city lights gradually illuminating, and overlook the entire night view. This is the highlight and perfect ending to the entire route. The overall pace is comfortable, not rushed or tiring. You can enjoy local specialties and capture iconic scenery, making it suitable for first-time visitors to this area who wish to efficiently visit multiple classic attractions in one day.
